We are a non-profit, humanitarian organization.
We believe that we should all do our part to help our local community, and communities around the world.
We believe that by providing education, medical care, and community building services we can transform lives and communities.
We believe that by working together to transform lives and communities we can make the world a more just and peaceful place for all.
Mission trips can be a life-changing experience; trained medical personnel are needed to provide medical services to communities living without access to medical services.
VOLUNTEER MEDICAL PERSONNEL PROVIDE HEALTHCARE SERVICES SUCH AS VACCINATIONS, NUTRITION EDUCATION, PREVENTIVE MEDICINE EDUCATION, BASIC HEALTH SKILLS EDUCATION, AND NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING EDUCATION.
ONE OF OUR EDUCATIONAL FOCUSES IS TEACHING PEOPLE HOW TO CARE FOR THEIR HEALTH USING LOCAL NATURAL RESOURCES.
WE ALSO WORK TO ENABLE THE SHIPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS WALKERS, HOSPITAL BEDS, AND WHEEL CHAIRS.
Construction, Maintenance and Upkeep:
One area of focus in construction and maintenance. It includes building, painting, repairing structures, carpentry, conservation, and environmental awareness.
Not all members of a team need to have prior experience. If you can use a paintbrush, hammer a nail, carry a cinder block, or just hand tools to the person that needs them, we have a place for you!
Teams organize and carry out educational programs for children. If you like crafts, music, lessons and other educational activities, this team is for you!
We also assist students who would like to continue their education by providing them with scholarships. We currently sponsor students who would like to study Medicine, Engineering, or Education. One condition of their scholarship is that they return to serve their community, or another community in need, for a predetermined amount of time upon graduating.
If you are interested in sponsoring a student, please let us know!
We organize Youth Group mission trips each summer to the Dominican Republic. Our groups organize and carry out summer camps for economically deprived children.
Participating in these missions helps youth group members experience other cultures, learn about poverty, and discover that they are part of the solution. Participating in a mission trip gives young people an opportunity to share of their time and themselves.
HELPING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES
SOCIAL JUSTICE At Home
We strive to create a culture of social justice and community participation within our local communities as well as the communities we work with internationally.
We encourage volunteers to continue their service with their local community. Even when not working on a mission Project PX members volunteer their time as advocates for low income families, helping those in need access school programs, working with soup kitchens and food pantries, providing those in need with medical access information, and much more!
